Coach
Bogle:"The week before the game was probably the best I've spent at
Glen Burnie. Hearing from the community, students, ex-players and
everyone who said they'd be there was great. Then you finally walk
into Cole Fieldhouse and see that everyone is there, well you kind
of get a lump in your throat."
Final Record: 15 - 4 Blondeau scored 40, but Glen
Burnie was defeated by Montgomery Blair in the State
Championship game at Maryland's Cole Fieldhouse. Harold
Blondeau received a full scholarship to North Carolina State.
During the season Blondeau set the county scoring record
with 44 points; only to have teammate, George Law, break that
with 45 points a week later. Hal Blondeau scored 447 points
for the season.
Coach Guerrette: "I think we had the best basketball team
in Glen Burnie history. I mean the best from a team
standpoint. Glen Burnie may have had better personnel in other
years, but the boys I had this year really played together.
This year's team gave everything it had."
Final Record: 16 - 1 Sparrows Point defeated the
